Avene & Glytone – Pharmaceutical Grade Products
Glytone and Avene skincare products combine pharmaceutical grade ingredients with active ingredients to create a vast array of products that truly treat skincare concerns. Glytone and Avene products have been available to the public for a number of years, and in these years have proved themselves.
Avene specializes in treating sensitive and hypersensitive skin incorporating the use of thermal spring water. According to AveneUSA, thermal spring water has over 300 clinically proven studies showing the calming, soothing and softening effects of this ingredient. Avene spring water has been safely used since 1743 in the Hydrotherapy Center to treat dermatological concerns like dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. This remarkable agent has an abundance of silica and trace elements. Thermal Spring Water provides antioxidant protection, is preservative free and has a low mineral content. Products containing this ingredient are excellent for sensitive or irritated skin, burning, itching, stinging, redness, rosacea, post-surgery and post-procedure skin.
Avene manufacturers’ anti-aging products, that are specifically designed for sensitive skin but that also work well for all skin types. Avene created a treatment product for fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sagging and uneven skin tones. Avene Retrinal Cream 0.1 is formulated with retrinal, a stabilized form of vitamin A. Again, this product is backed by clinical studies indicating that it reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Results are typically seen within a month, but because this product is formulated for sensitive skin, side effects are very mild and tolerable.
Glytone focuses more so on the use of glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid known for its exfoliating process. Glycolic acid has the smallest molecular size of all alpha hydroxy acids, thus the results of using such products are very visible and typically very quick. Glycolic acid stimulates collagen and elastin fibers within the skins layers which in turn improves the appearance of the skin, reduces wrinkles and fine lines and gives the skin a plumper, more youthful appearance. Glycolic acid is not only useful in treating the effects of aging, but is also great for treating acneic issues. Glytone’s products are especially useful because they contain a “free acid”, meaning the glycolic acid used is not buffered in anyway, making it more results-oriented then other products with glycolic acid..
