Collette – Head of Esthetics; Licensed Medical Aesthetician – Collette joined Specialists in Plastic Surgery in 1996, bringing with her 18 years of cosmetic/skin care experience.  She began her cosmetic career as a Clinique Counter Manager while finishing her associate’s degree in arts from Broward Community College.  Collette then went on to receive her Cosmetologist License in 1981 and was trained extensively in skin care by Joel Gerson author of Guide to Esthetic Skin Care.  She pioneered Medical Esthetics as one of the first medical Aestheticians in the state of North Carolina. She also served a National Certified Examiner for Esthetics and as a State Board Examiner.  Collette holds numerous certifications including advanced medical skin care, advanced skin analysis, manual lymphatic drainage, advanced microdermabrasion & IPL photofacial .  She is a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, and Aesthetics International Association . N.C. Aestheticians Association and has contributed to published articles written in Skin Deep and New You Magazines. Collette is happily married for 27 years and has two children and two dogs.

Charity - Licensed Medical Aesthetician – Charity has worked at The Museum Spa & Laser Center for two years. Having been in the spa industry for nine years, she began her professional career as a massage therapist and through that experience discovered her true love for skin care and medical esthetics. This is her calling, her passion; Charity was born to be a medical aesthetician! Patients love her and always recommend her to all their friends.   Charity holds certifications in microdermabrasions, manual lymphatic drainage, medical skin care and certified in skin care Analysis by Visia.  She is married and has two wonderful boys that she adores dearly.

Emily - Licensed Medical Aesthetician – Emily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from NCSU, and graduated at the top of her class from Miller-Motte College in the Aesthetics program. Emily has a true passion for skin care and has extensive knowledge of advanced chemical peels and microdermabrasion. She loves helping her clients achieve their skin care goals. She enjoys the performing arts and loves being with her family and friends. Her hobbies include swimming, and she looks forward to snow skiing each year!

KateBSN, Registered Nurse – After graduating in 2002 with her Associates Degree in Nursing, Kate moved back to her hometown of Raleigh. She worked for three years on a cardiac unit and has spent the past six years working in the Emergency Department treating a varied patient population. Kate’s career has revolved around saving lives and she now looks forward to helping change lives through medical aesthetics. Kate is certified and trained on Alma Lasers including, Soprano Xli Laser Hair Removal, Harmony Pixel Perfect, AFT, Pixel C02 , and  Accent RF.  In her practice, Kate enjoys listening to her patients needs and finding new ways to help them achieve their goals. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband.

Danielle – BSN, Registered Nurse & Medical Aesthetician – Danielle began her career in aesthetics 7 years ago as an aesthetician after graduating from the Aveda Institute.  Her background and practice of holistic skin care in naturopathy and herbology were a natural segway into aesthetics. As her professional path progressed, Danielle began incorporating a more integrative approach to aesthetics in an effort to provide greater results and better serve clients’ needs.  As she diversified to medical aesthetics, Danielle decided to further her education. Danielle received her baccalaureate in nursing from Barton College in 2010. Since becoming an RN, Danielle has continued to practice aesthetics through nursing. She has 2 years of experience with aesthetic lasers and is excited to continue this part of her practice as member of the Museum Spa team.  Danielle also practices home health nursing within the community and is a member of the Red Cross.  Danielle is certified and trained on Alma Lasers including, Soprano Xli Laser Hair Removal, Harmony Pixel Perfect, AFT, Pixel C02 , and  Accent RF.

Lauren – BSN, Registered Nurse – Lauren graduated from East Carolina University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  She started her career in the operating room at Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she rotated through all specialties including Plastics.  After realizing her true passion for the aesthetic field, Lauren moved back to her hometown of Raleigh and spent the next 5 years working for a reputable plastic surgeon in the area.  She has knowledge and training in a wide variety of lasers including laser hair removal, IPL treatments, and laser skin resurfacing.  Her extensive experience in medical aesthetics allows her to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.  Lauren is very committed to the aesthetic industry which is evident through her dedication in patient satisfaction. Lauren is certified and trained on Alma Lasers including, Soprano Xli Laser Hair Removal, Harmony Pixel Perfect, AFT, Pixel C02 , and  Accent RF.

Beth – BSN, Registered Nurse – Beth received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing.  Her past work experience includes ICU nursing at the North Carolina Memorial Hospital- Jaycee Burn Center, Cardiovascular Recovery Unit at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, The New York Hospital- Cornell Medical Center, and Plastic Surgery Nursing in private practices in New York, NY, and Raleigh, NC.  Beth has twenty-seven years of Plastic Surgery Nursing experience.  She has been injecting soft tissue fillers for twenty-seven years, Botox Cosmetic injections for eight years, and Dysport injections since its introduction four years ago.  Beth has been with Specialists In Plastic Surgery, PA and The Museum Spa and Laser Center for eleven years.  She is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Nurses, and published an article “The Role of the Plastic Surgery Nurse Collagen Specialist” in Plastic Surgical Nursing Journal in 1990.  She has served on two medical relief teams to Kenya and Zambia, Africa.  Beth is married to Dr. Roger Russell- they have four children who live in Washington, DC, New York, NY, and Charlotte, NC.  Beth is a three-time marathon runner, enjoys golf, traveling, gardening and cooking.  Beth devotes much of her time and volunteer work to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

Michelle WRegistered Nurse, Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse-Michelle is a new addition to the practice, but not new to the field of plastic surgery. Originally from Rhode Island, and recently relocated from Pittsburgh, where she had been working for a reputable plastic surgeon for the past nine years.  She brings with her fifteen years experience in injecting dermal fillers and six years of Botox/Dysport injection expertise.  Michelle is always striving to stay current with the latest injectable products and techniques. “Facial rejuvenation is a form of artistry.”  Her entire career has been in the field of medicine, starting as a nurse’s aide at age 15, a medic/EMT in the United States Air Force, an LPN, and finally achieving her RN degree and certification as a plastic surgery nurse.  Also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurse’s, she is also knowledgeable and experienced in the clinical and surgical aspect of the plastic surgery practice.  Michelle is married and has two daughters.

Pamela – Licensed Massage Therapist - Originally from Rhode Island.  Pamela received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Rhode Island College in 1991.  She moved to New York in 1991 where she worked as Flight Service Manager for American Eagle Airlines until 2003.  Pamela became passionate about massage in 1999 and decided to make a career change and go back to school.  She graduated in 2001 from the New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, New York where she received an Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy and received her license in 2002.  Pamela has worked independently for 8 years and then relocated to North Carolina in 2009 with her husband and 2 children. She is licensed in both New York and North Carolina and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She specializes in Swedish, Hot Stone, Amma, and Deep Tissue and continues to educate herself through continuing education classes.  “It is very gratifying to know that I can have a profound effect on people through the rejuvenating qualities of touch.  Massage heals the mind, body and soul!”

Joelle – Licensed Massage Therapist – Joelle has been with The Museum Spa & Laser Center for four years as our licensed & certified massage therapist.  She specializes in hot stone therapies and deep tissue massage. If you need stress relief in your life, you need Joelle!

Judie – Spa Director – Judie has her Bachelor of Arts in Art History/Studio from the University of Kentucky.  She is a recent transplant from the San Francisco Bay area where she was employed by a large dermatology practice & one of the world’s largest laser clinics as their Patient Service Director.  Judie is a licensed cosmetologist in California and North Carolina and has been a professional make up artist for over twenty years.  Her previous professional background is in the retail industry working with Federated Department Stores & Federated Merchandising Group.  Judie’s ultimate love of helping people feel better about themselves lead her into the field of medical esthetics. The most rewarding part of working at The Museum Spa & Laser Center and the Specialists in Plastic Surgery is being able to use her knowledge in laser skin rejuvenation technology to offer the best possible outcome for each client. “It’s amazingly rewarding to watch clients transform.  To be a part of a person’s journey in helping them regain their sparkle and confidence is one of her greatest rewards.”

Shannon – Shannon is our full-time concierge and is our go to girl. She has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from UNCG and prior to starting a family she worked in the field of accounting. After raising her two children, Shannon decided to go back to work…lucky for us! Shannon has been happily greeting clients of The Museum Spa & Laser Center for over ten years. Her knowledge of our procedures and the kindness extended to our patients immediately sets everyone at ease. Her favorite place in the world is the beach.

Kathleen – Kathleen joined The Museum Spa & Laser Center as our part-time front desk employee.  Her energetic and friendly personality, combined with her personal drive and ambition will allow her to achieve her personal & professional goals.  She is a senior at NCSU pursuing her degree in Public Relations & Marketing.  Kathleen is very excited that her brother was serving in the military overseas came home safe & sound.  We are very excited that Kathleen is a member of our team!
