Genetically, or due to age and sun damage, some people have poor quality, thin crepe eyelid skin. If there is not too much excess skin, eyelid surgery will not be helpful or necessary.
The Museum Spa & Laser Center now offers a procedure with less downtime. A Non-Surgical Eye Lid Lift, this laser procedure that has minimal down time, especially considering the results. Multiple treatments are recommended, but it is a relatively painless procedure and takes only about 30-45 minutes with 3-4 days of a mild sunburn effect.
By combining laser technologies we can tighten the delicate skin surrounding the eye area while also improving the overall texture.
We begin with Accent RF by Alma Lasers to help tighten the skin. As the inner layer – dermis – of the skin heats it induces the formation of collagen, essential for firmer, smoother looking skin. The deep heating firm’s lax skin to regain a more youthful, contoured appearance. Collagen production and increased blood circulation cause skin shrinkage, which result in lifting and tightening effects that you will notice after the first treatment, and will continue to notice improvement in the tone and texture for weeks to come.
Followed by the Pixel Perfect by Alma Lasers. It works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin’s top layer to heal from the edge of these tiny holes very rapidly, which significantly improves your complexion. In more detail, the Pixel® Perfect laser light passes through patented optics to penetrate the skin with tiny thermal channels, only as deep as a few sheets of paper. In each channel it creates a micro-injury, without disturbing the surrounding tissue. These micro-injury sites (about 15-20 percent of the treatment area) start the process of healing. As collagen remodels, skin tightens and scars improve. The intact, undamaged skin around the treatment site is what promotes quicker healing for a faster recovery.
